Necktie Purse or Wallet

Wednesday April 30, 2008
Several days ago I featured a question from the forum from a visitor who was looking for directions for transforming a necktie into a coin purse. I thought this was a challenge I would enjoy so I dug out an old necktie and my sewing machine and gave it a shot. Here is what I came up with...

I think its cute and I admire your ingenuity. Just yesterday I saw where someone was wanting directions on making a necktie quilt, I’ve never seen one, but I have heard about them and know a lady who made one, however, I never saw hers. She told me about it and the way she described it, it was colorful and rather attractive. Have you ever heard of one or seen one or do you know how to mske one?

Hi Bertha, I am an avid quilter but have never tried a necktie quilt… I have seen them though, like the one pictured here: http://quilting.about.com/od/picturesofquilts/ig/Themed-Quilts/Richard-s-Ties.htm

and I really like this one
