Awhile back we had a discussion about hot glue turning yellow on the Family Crafts Forum. In doing some research, I discovered that it is not uncommon for hot glue to yellow over time. It was explained to me that "glue sticks do not contain anything to protect them from UV rays so yes, they can definately yellow after extended exposure to direct sunlight."Shortly after we had this discussion on the forum, I was contacted by the people at Ad-Tech about their hot glue sticks. They encouraged me to check out their Snowflake Test. Ad-Tech also mailed me similar samples to test for myself. In leaving the hot glue snowflakes in the sun for even a short amount of time, the "Leading Competitor" snowflake did yellow while the Ad-Tech glue remained clear (as the picture here shows). AdTech says, "We know that the UV protection additives not only keep our clear glue clear, it improves its performance when it is heated in a glue gun."
I think it is definatly worth giving it a shot.... What do you think?

Personally I haven’t had much trouble with hot glue yellowing over the years, I think it really does depend on the quality. I’d be curious to try my hand at AdTech’s glue.
