I hope the combination of it being National Volunteer Month and my list of simple and creative volunteer ideas inspired you to get out in your neighborhood and even beyond and help others. If you didn't get a chance to volunteer in April, don't let that stop you. Any person or organization you volunteer for with appreciate it any time of the year. Many of the volunteer ideas I share can be done with little time and effort, and some from the comfort of your own home.
These are just some suggestions to get you started. If you want to find an organization that you can donate your crafty time and skills to, look around your town, talk to friends and co-workers, and check out this great list of charities to craft for. Don't forget, if you have an idea or story about families volunteering, please feel free to share them with us.
