I thought I would share the unique graduation gifts I made for my 3 kids. When my daughter graduated from high school many years ago... (I feel so old!) ...I raided her t-shirt drawer and dug through boxes of schoolwork and mementos I had saved over the years and started working on a special quilt. Even though I had only been quilting for a couple of years I decided to create this quilt using no pattern and many pieces! To my surprise it turned out pretty amazing!Of course, with one successful graduation quilt under my belt, I decided it must become a tradition so my two boys also got graduation quilts. Although they are made using the same techniques, all three turned out so different. Don't you think so?
Do you have a special graduation gift you have made for a special graduate or created a graduation tradition by giving? If so, please share your graduation craft project. If you have ever gotten a homemade graduation gift, whether you loved it or hated it, share your story.

What an amazing idea! Thanks for sharing, Sherri. But I can only see one of the quilts. Can you show us the other two?
This is a great idea. I’ve actually been trying to thin out my t-shirt drawer, but I have so many that have special memories connected to them.
Hi Eileen,
Sorry it isn’t clearer in the blog post! All three graduation quilts can be found here: http://familycrafts.about.com/od/graduationgiftideas/tp/Graduation-Memory-And-T-Shirt-Quilts.htm
