Crafty Help for Bored Kids

It seems to be around this time of the summer when the kids really start getting bored. If this is the case in your household, I suggest trying some creative projects to help keep them entertained.

Last week, I shared a collection of fast and simple craft ideas to help, but all of those only take about 10 minutes to complete. If you are looking for a project that will fill a day or two or more, you should consider investing in a craft kit or two or more!

Browse through these craft kits, all listed by age, with your kids and let them pick out one that appeals to them! Of course, when browsing through these craft kits it is just as important for you to keep your child's ablities in mind as it is to read the age recommendations on the box.

  • Craft Kits for Toddlers and Preschoolers
The craft kits listed here are perfect for 2 and 3 year olds. Your child can enjoy personalizing stuffed animals, playing with lacing toys, testing finger crayons, and much more.

  • Craft Kits for Pre-K and Kindergartners
The craft kits listed here are perfect for 4 through 6 year olds. Your child will enjoy doodling, making puppets, exploring rub art, and much more.

  • Craft Kits for Elementary Aged Kids
The craft kits listed here are perfect for almost any age! Your child will enjoy making books, learning how to draw, making candy crafts, and much more.

  • Craft Kits for Tweens
The craft kits listed here are perfect for kids who are at a stage that is a little more advanced than elementary school but not quite yet teenagers. Your tween will enjoy experimenting with pottery, learn about knitting, designing magnets, and much more.

  • Craft Kits for Teens
The craft kits listed here are perfect for teenagers. Your teen will enjoy making candles, scrapbooking, soap making, and much more.

I hope something here sparks your child's interests. If you order a craft kit or two, and want something for your child to do while you wait for the craft kit to arrive, check out my Make It Over Craft Challenges. You can make crafts using items you probably have laying around your house right now.

It’s so helpful to have this broken down by age, Sherri. I’m bookmarking it for Christmas gift-buying time.
