Crafting can be a great way to relax, have fun, and spend quality time together as a family. If you like to experiment with different craft supplies and techniques or if you prefer to buy pre-assembled craft kits or try the newest crafting fad, it can be expensive. That is one of the reasons I shared some ways you can save money on your crafting without stifling your creativity!

While I shared several ways to save money at the craft store, how to find free supplies, ideas for sharing and swapping supplies, and recipes so you can make your own supplies, I bet all of you have some great money saving tips too... If you do have a favorite money saving craft tip or technique, please take a moment and share it here. You can help other people become a frugal crafter, and you can also read other people's ideas.

(1) Eileen :

1. Don’t throw anything out that has any craft or artistic potential. So many things can be repurposed and upcycled.

Books, junk mail, tins and fancy boxes (like jewelry, candy or cookies sometimes come in) …

2. You can mix your own color mist sprays by combining liquid watercolor, water and pearlescent powder in a small spray bottle.

3. Search the internet for recipes of different media like homemade polymer clay and soap.

4. If you make jewelry, learn to make your own findings (clasps, jump rings, eye pins). It’s really easy and fun!
