Okay, so I know I will probably get yelled at just for the title of this blog post, let alone my positive review of Mini Weapons of Mass Destruction 2.

I admit right away in my review that I am torn about this book. On one hand, I can imagine older boys making these projects and using them on each other despite the author repeatedly warning not to use them on people or animals. On the other hand, it is hard to find craft projects that will interest older boys as these would. Heck, I can even seen grown men enjoying making these projects. Read my review and then let me know what you think!

As a coincidence, there was a podcast at Familyanatomy.com talking about toy guns and aggression among children. The studies they were able to find did not conclude that toy guns lead to greater aggression, and the psychologists recommend that toy guns be permitted with adequate guidance and supervision, so that a) guns don’t become a highly valued secret trasure, and b) if a child is acting out in inappropriate ways with the toy, someone is on hand to help them resolve what’s going on.
