As a grandparent I don’t understand how anyone can “celebrate” anything other than a child’s birthday on this tenth anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack in history? Sept 11, 2011 is a day for commeration. How did our granparents pay homage to the tenth anniversary of Pearl Harbor? We, as the generation of 9/11 should show in spirit and deed how we feel about our country and our sadness at our loss. Grandparent’s Day? If you’re not appreciating your grandparents already, what difference does some day that Jimmy Carter proclaimed make you appreciate them any more?
