Graduation Memory Quilts

When my daughter graduated from high school many years ago... (I feel so old!) ...I raided her t-shirt drawer and dug through boxes of schoolwork and mementos I had saved over the years and started working on a special quilt. Even though I had only been quilting for a couple of years I decided to create this quilt using no pattern and many pieces! To my surprise <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://familycrafts.about.com/od/sewingandquilting/ig/Katie-s-T-Shirt-Grad-Quilt/">it turned out pretty amazing</a>! How to Recycle Plastic Bags

Suitcase Crafts

I love using it for inspiration, especially when it comes to recycling. I even have a Pinterest Board I titled <a href="http://pinterest.com/sherri_osborn/amazing-recycling/">Amazing Recycling</a>. One item I have seen recycled a lot here are suitcases; and, wouldn't you know it, one weekend when I by chance stopped at a second hand store, I found the perfect suitcase! It took me awhile to decide what I wanted to make with my suitcase, but I finally settled on transforming it into a <a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc&zu=http://familycrafts.about.com/od/vacationtheme/ss/Vintage-Suitcase-Craft.htm">portable craft/sewing studio</a>!
