Instructions to make a house for a bean bag toy or other stuffed animal.

Materials Needed:

  • Boxes - shoe box, milk carton, small cardboard box, etc
  • Paint
  • Tape
  • Glue
  • Misc Supplies such as Scrap Material, Ribbon, Buttons, Etc

Instructions:
By using this project idea and your own imagination, you can create a whole bean bag toy village! :-)

Decide what kind of building you want to make. A house, a school, a store, a church, etc. Sketching out your design on paper might be helpful.

Use boxes as the main "building" and add the finishing touches with other misc materials. For example, make a chimney out of a peice of a cardboard toilet paper roll; make curtains out of some scrap material; make door knobs out of buttons or beads; the possibilities are endless!

With and adults help, you can use a scissors or utility knife to cut out doors, windows, etc. See how many different building designs you can come up with!

Don't forget to make a pillow and blanket for your bean bag toy to use in their new house!
