Paper Plate Butterfly

Susan instructions for making a butterfly using a paper plate, a toilet tissue roll, and a few other supplies.

Materials Needed:

  • Paper plates
  • Toilet paper rolls
  • String (Any color)
  • Pipe cleaners (Any color)
  • Stapler and staples or glue
  • Tape
  • Crayons, markers, colored pencils, or paint
  • Scissors
  • Hole puncher

Instructions:
1) Color a paper plate and then the toilet paper roll. (If using paint, wait until it dries.) Make any design.

2) Cut the paper plate in half with a jagged or any other type of design.

3) Take the paper plate and stick the jagged edges on the outside. Now put the inside together to form wings.

4) Take the toilet paper roll and stick it in the middle and staple or glue to the paper plate.

5) Take and punch a hole into the paper plate. (On the top near the middle where the two sides of the paper plates meet.)

6) Take the string and tie it to the hole. Then take the other end of the string and make a big loop and tie it.

7) Then take the pipe cleaners and make antennas out of them, be creative.

8) Tape on the antennas.
