Materials Needed:
- Tissue paper in red, yellow, and green
- 3 Touch lights (the things you see advertised to use in closets, etc. that are battery operated)
- 2 Sheets of black poster board
- 2 Shoestrings-black
- Glue
- Black pants, shirt, and shoes
- Black toboggan
- Black mask covering just the eyes (optional)
- Hole puncher and scissors
Take the tissue paper and cover each of the lights with a different color.
Hold the poster board up to the person who is going to wear the costume and make sure it is not too wide or too long to be comfortable for them to wear. Cut both of the poster boards to the same, desired size. Use the hole punch and punch a hole on each side of the poster board where the mid-point of the shoulders will be. Also, punch a hole at waist level on the sides of the poster board. Use the shoestrings to tie the poster boards comfortably on the person. (This makes what used to be called a sandwich board).
Glue the lights to the front piece of the poster board, in this order: red at the top, yellow in the middle, and green at the bottom.
Put on your black outfit and mask. Place the sandwich board on the person, turn on one of the "traffic lights" and you're off!!
