How To Make Sawdust Clay

A unique idea! Make sculptures with this clay made from sawdust.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 20 minutes

Here's How:

  1. Measure 2 cups of fine sawdust into a medium sized bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup of dry wallpaper paste.
  3. Blend together well.
  4. Slowly add water and stir until your mixture is a clay consistantly.
  5. Once you have your clay made you can make shapes, designs, creatures - whatever you want!
  6. Let your creations dry at least 24 hours.
  7. Once they are dry, you can sand and paint them.

Tips:

  1. Never make this or other recipes without an adult's permission and assistance.
  2. If your clay is too sticky, add a bit more sawdust and paste.

What You Need:

  • Saw Dust
  • Wallpaper Paste
  • Medium Sized Bowl
