Recycled Critters
Wendy shares suggestions to imspire everyone to recycle creatively.

Materials Needed:

  • Just about anything: fast food containers, 2-liter bottles, candy wrappers, empty soft drink cans, anything that will be thrown away!
  • Tape
  • Glue
  • Markers, Paint
Instructions:
"I teach 3rd grade, and each April I have my students make a 'recycled critter.

They come up with the idea themselves, and with the help of Mom and Dad (so it's a good family project,too) they make their 'critter.' We have had everything from airplanes, to a sailing ship with the sails made from cut-up soft drink cans, to an alien.

The kids love this, and they get extra points in Science. We also have a contest, and someone else in the school judges them."
