Create a cool can to carry your pencils using a Pringles potato chip canister - shared by Kristina Nelson.

Materials Needed:

  • Potato chip canister with cover (Pringles)
  • White acrylic paint
  • 1/2 to 1 in metallic red ribbon
  • Tacky glue
  • Gold jingle bells
  • Clear sealer
  • Glue gun

Instructions:
Paint the potato chip canister white (this may take two coats). When paint is dry, spray with a coat of clear sealer.

Once the spray is dry, glue ribbon around can, like the stripe on a candy cane, applying glue to the back of the ribbon with a cheap paint brush (his helps in applying the ribbon to the can slowly). Glue the bell to the lid, you can use leftover ribbon to embellish also.

Fill with candy, party favors, etc. This worked great for my son's fourth grade class.
