Spooky T-Shirts For Everyone

Wendi explains how to decorate a t-shirt to make a fun Halloween treat.

By Sherri Osborn, About.com

Materials Needed:
  • T-shirt(s) (suggested colors: chartreuse, purple, orange, white, black or grey)
  • Craft glue (any kind that can be put through the wash)
  • Assorted sizes of wiggle eyes or plastc spiders
  • Puff Paint (your choice of color to contrast with the t-shirt)
Instructions:
1. Wash and Dry your T-shirt.

2. Lay out the wiggle eyes, in pairs, all over the T-shirt (don't forget about the sleeves and the back).

3. When you are satisfied with the lay out. Glue the eyes to the shirt. Let one side dry before working on the other side. You may want to slide some cardboard inside the shirt to keep from gluing the shirt together.

4. Use puff paint to design eyebrows over the pairs of eyes. You can make them look as silly or as spooky as you want. Again, let one side of the shirt dry before continuing to do the other side. Let the puff paints dry completely for 24 hours before wearing the shirt.

For a spider shirt:
1. Use puff paints to draw spider webs on your t-shirt.

2. When dry, glue spiders onto your shirt where desired - or you can draw them on with the puff paint.

Use your imagination, and have fun. Try using glow in the dark puff paints, and spiders for even more fun.

Wash the shirts using cold water and the gentle cycle (if not hand washed).
