Instructions to make smell and sound guessing games out of empty film canisters, submitted by Beth.

Instructions:
I don't know if this would fit or not, its not really a craft. I attended an inservice for child care providers where the instructor took a bunch of film canisters and turned them into "smell boxes" and "sound boxes&quot for the science center.

For the "smell boxes" she placed a cotton ball moistened w/vanilla extract, perfume, etc each in a different canister, poked small holes in the lids, then hot glued them on.

For the "sound boxes" she put items inside the canisters like BBs, gravel, etc, then hot glued the lids on. The kids can smell or shake to explore and practice using different senses.
