Pine Cone Angel
Instructions to make an angel out of a pine cone submited by Cristy. A fun gift idea or even a great Christmas tree ornament.

Materials Needed:
  • Pine Cone
  • Gold or Silver Paint
  • 1 inch Wooden Ball Head
  • Paper Ribbon
  • Tiny Grape Vine Wreath
  • Spanish Moss
  • Glue
Instructions:
Lightly spritz pine cone with gold (or silver) spray paint, just enough to add some "glitz". Get the paper ribbon you unroll, and unroll a section about 4 - 5 inches long. Lightly spritz that with the spray paint to and attach to back of angel, pinching in the middle to form wings. We used the little wood balls for their head and drew a number of different faces on them (mine is singing, wide open mouth and eyes shut). We attached that to the bottom (big end) of pine cone and then used spanish moss for the hair. We used little bitty grape vine wreaths for the halo. I have hung this from my Welcome friends sign for years now.
