Materials Needed:
- photos
- construction paper in different colors
- pipe cleaners (green)
- scissors
- glue
- tape
- felt
- an empty can with lid-such as a nut container
- felt marker
- optional- buttons, feathers, or any item to decorate the outside of the raisin container
Instructions:
1. Take the raisin container and using a piece of felt (I used brown) trace the top side of the lid onto the felt.
2. Cut along the line on the felt and glue the circular piece to the top of the lid.
3. Take another piece of felt in any color and glue to the outside of the container.
4. Using the point of the scissors punch holes in the top of the lid large enough to place the pipe cleaners.
5. Trace a picture of a flower (just the petals part) onto a piece of construction paper.
6. Depending on how many flowers you want in your flower pot (if you want 5 flowers grab 5 pieces of construction paper in different flowery colors) and put the pieces of paper under the piece with the tracing on it and cut out the flower design.
7. Using the photos cut down to fit onto the flower petal part. A lot of times this means just using the face in the picture. After all, you don't want to cover up your flower completely.
8. Glue the photo to the flower petal part.
9. Take the pipe cleaner and place a small dab of glue towards on end so you can glue the pipe cleaner to the other side of the flower petal part- not the side where the picture is.
10. Using a small piece of tape, tape the glued end of the pipe cleaner to the back of the flower petal part- once again not the side with the picture on it.
11. Push the pipe cleaners into the holes in the lid to the container.
12. Put the lid back on the container and if you wish decorate the outside of your flower pot.
13. Let dry overnight.
