CD Masterpiece CraftA. Sylvia Sommer from Brazil explains how to incorporate a CD into a painted masterpiece.
Materials Needed:
Take a painter's canvas (6x6x1) - you can also use old photo-poster bases - and lightly trace the CD's size in the center. Paint outside the traced circle with textured paint or just give a wash with the color you prefer. Let dry. Once the paint is dry, glue the CD ito the traced circle using contact glue or a similar glue. Use those squizzable relief paint (or fabric-type puffy paint) and glitter glue to draw on the CD. You can make geometrical designs, like a Mandala, or draw a picture, such as a large sunflower. Be creative! Th object of painting the CD is to have the CD's background will show through the rainbow colors. There is no end in color and design variations you can come up with. To finish, you can spray varrnish the whole 'painting' if desired. Easy and quick to make, cheap and perfect to light up a small place on your wall or even a dark spot, to give as gift to friends, specially if you make it in personalized colors. Hung up one or a set of 3! |
