How to Make Coasters Using Plastic Canvas

Find out how to make table coasters using plastic canvas and coffee can lids, submitted by Lynda.

Materials Needed:

• Plastic lids from 1 lb coffee cans (or cocoa cans or oatmeal boxes, etc.)
• Round plastic canvas shapes
• Yarn

Instructions:
Trim plastic canvas shapes to fit inside of lids.

Weave yarn in holes of plastic canvas, finish edges with an overcast stitch.

When finished stitching, place into lid. The overcast edging should make them fit snuggly.
