Mason Jar Jack-O-Lantern
Check out these ideas for decorating a mason jar to look like a jack-o-lantern.

Materials Needed:
  • Mason Jar with Lid
  • Black Paint
  • Green Tissue Paper
  • Green Curling Ribbon
  • Candy in Orange Wrappers
  • Glue
Instructions:
You can use whatever sized mason jar you want. Use the black paint to make a jack-o-lantern face on the jar. Fill the jar with the orange candies and then put on the lid.

Cut a piece of green tissue paper long enough to wrap around the top of the lid and overlap an inch or two; it should be about 5-inches tall. Fold up one of the long edges to get a smooth edge. Wrap the tissue paper around the jar lid so it covers the lid completely. Gather the top of the tissue paper and tie with a 12-inch piece of curling ribbon. Use the sides of the scissors to curl the ends of the ribbon.

For a little variety you can use green felt or fabric instead of green tissue paper. If you do not want to paint on your mason jars you can cut the facial features out of construction paper. You can then attach them on the inside of the jar using clear tape.
