Painted Pumpkins

By Sherri Osborn, About.com

Nanna shares some suggestions for creating simple, painted pumpkins.

Materials Needed:

  • Small Pumpkins
  • Markers
  • Fake hair
  • Plastic eyes
  • Glue

Instructions:
We live in Texas and it is usually still too warm to carve pumpkins at Halloween time and not have them rot, so we paint our pumpkins instead.

We make the face of our pumpkins using the markers. After "painting" them, you can add any thing you can think of to make them look "real" that will stick with glue such as the hair and eyes.
