Toothy Puppet

By Sherri Osborn, About.com

Make this paper plate puppet with teeth, submitted by Bear.

Materials Needed:

  • Paper Plate
  • Crayons or Markers
  • Glue
  • Packing Peanuts

Instructions:
Fold a paper plate in half. Draw a face on the top side of the folded paper plate. Glue the styrofoam pieces aling the outside edge inside the fold of the plate to look like teeth. (Packing Peanuts that are retangler would work nice.) To work your puppets, hold them with both hands then open and close the puppet's tooth-filled mouth to make it "talk".

Caution:
Use this activity with older children who will not be tempted to put the pretend teeth into their own mouths. Styrofoam bits contain chemicals that may be toxic if swallowed.
