| Wire Santa Mini Wreath | |
Materials Needed:
Cut several strips about 1/2-inch wide and 12-inches long. The amount needed will vary from project to project, but the average wreath uses 20 - 30.
Start at the bottom of your wire circle. Fold one of your fabric strips in half and hold the top loop behind the wire circle (figure 1). Pull the two ends of the fabric strip over the front of the wire circle and stick them into the fabric loop (figure 2). Pull the ends to make this knot snug (figure 3).
Instructions:
Cut a 12-inch piece of wire. Form it into a circle and twist the 2 ends together. Secure the twist wire tape if necessary. The twisted section will be the top of your wreath.

Continue attaching the fabric strips in this manner until your have fabric strip hanging from about 2/3s of the wire circle covered. Push all the knots close together so you cannot see the wire.
Cut 2 pieces of fishing line, each about 15-inches long. Tie them into a cross shape through the center of your wire circle. Cut three more pieces of fishing line, each about 6-inches long. Thread them through the holes in the buttons. Tie them onto the fishing line cross as shown in figure 4. Trim off the ends of the fishing line. Secure the buttons into place with a dab of glue.

To finish off your santa, all you need is a hat! Click on the small picture below and you can print out a santa hat to use as a pattern.

Glue the hat to the top of the santa wreath. Covering a bit of the fabric strips is fine. For a hanger, cut a 6-inch piece of fishing line, and glue it the the back of the hat.
