Tennis Racket Craft

By

You can use an old, wire hanger and a pair of worn out pantyhose to create a pretend tennis racket. While it might not hold up to hitting around a tennis ball, you can use it with a super-sized pom-pom or even a rolled up sock..

  • Age Guideline: 8 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

  • Pantyhose
  • Wire Coat Hanger
  • Duct Tape
Instructions:
Start making your tennis racket by bending a wire clothes hanger in a diamond shape. Squeeze the bottom 3-inches together (the "hook" part will be below this).

Cut off a leg of the pantyhose and pull it down over the wire. Tape at the bottom with duct tape. Tape around the "handle" that you squeezed together.

Your tennis racket is now ready to use.
