Popcorn Wreath Ornament

By Sherri Osborn, About.com

Use these free directions to create a wreath ornament using a paper plate and popcorn. A great Christmas tree ornament or gift.

Materials Needed:

  • Small Paper Plates
  • Popcorn (popped)
  • Glue
  • Green Spray Paint
  • Ribbon
  • Small, Red Pom-Poms (optional)

Instructions:
Cut the center out of the paper plate. Punch a hole in the paper plate towards the out edge; this will be where you tie a ribbon through to hang your wreath. (If you don't have a small paper plate, you can cut a circle out of cardboard.)

Cover the entire paper plate with glue and attach the popcorn. Try to completely cover the plate. Let the glue dry. Make sure you do not block the small hole you made for the ribbon hanger.

Spray paint the wreath green, or you can use whatever color you want. Once the paint is dry, thread a piece of ribbon through the punched hole and tie the ends.

You can add a small bow using the ribbon if you like. You can also glue on some of the tiny pom-poms to look like holly berries.
