• Small paper lunch bag
• Old newspaper
• Twisty ties
• 4 x 4 piece of stiff paper (construction paper works)
• Crayons, markers, or paint

Once done with that, have the children color a turkey head on the paper. (for this, I drew a head on the paper, the children colored one side, cut it out, and then colored the other side).

Now, open the bag and add one crumpled full piece of newspaper. Close bag around paper, it helps to twist it a bit. Now use the twisty tie to secure the bag.

Once done with that, spread the feathers out. It helps to rip the bag some to spread the feathers.

Now, put glue on the bottom portion of the turkey head, and leave lying on the table. Take the body and place what would be the bottom of the bag onto the turkey head, and push hard.

You now have a turkey centerpiece for the table on Thanksgiving. We did not add feet, but that could be easily done with paper or pipe cleaners.
