Pine Cones Everywhere!

I have spent the last few weekends raking, and while I normally I love our evergreen trees, I usually feel a little differently this time of year. It seems like I no sooner get done raking and the yard is full of pine needles and pine cones again! The only bright spot about this task is the fact that I can save the pine cones to use in a variety of crafts - but who needs hundreds of pine cone angels and bird feeders!

This book is a great addition to your arts and crafts library. The author, Irene Luxbacher, explains in simple terms how to use drawing tools to create wonderful pictures. She uses 'people' as a theme to show kids and parents alike how they can use pencils, crayons, markers, and chalk to transform a plain piece of paper into fabulous works of art. It is a great way to introduce any child to drawing! Find out more...

How to Add Photos to Stepping Stones

Through the years, this has been a popular question posted on the Family Crafts Forum. There have been a few people who have given suggestions, and I have posted them on the Stepping Stone Tips and Hints page. lrctwn recently posted this question on the forum so I thought I would feature it here to see if anyone else has any ideas. I also am hoping to get some photos submitted. Here is lrctwn post:
"Does anyone know if you can incorporate photos in stepping stones? I would like to make a memorial stone with a picture."
You can read lrctwn's post and read the tips that have already been submitted; then, post your own tips and share your stepping stone photos!
