Clay Pot Apple Photo
See a picture of a Clay Pot Apple craft made by Thomas C. from NY.

"I dabbed on the red paint (color: Apple Spice) with a foam brush. I copied the message that a fellow crafter used on her apple and painted the words with white paint, using a thin brush on a miniature blackboard, which I found in the "wood pieces" aisle of my local craft store. The chalk on the blackboard was made by cutting off a small length of a wood dowel and painting it white. For the stem I used a "Lara's Crafts" wood spool 7/8" x 1 1/8." This spool is more narrow than a standard spool and I feel it gives the apple a more "realistic stem." Referring to Mrs. Osborn's guide, I painted the face on one side and glued the blackboard on the opposite side. This way, one can see something different depending on what angle you view the clay pot apple from."
