Clay Pot Cow Photo
See a picture of a Clay Pot Cow craft made by Thomas C. from NY.

"I dabbed on the white paint with a foam brush. Three coats covered the terra pot very well. I used a 1 3/4" wooden doll head which has a flat bottom that makes it much easier to glue and attach to the pot.

I used 'Surebonder 9001,' a clear high-strength adhesive that also provides a flexible weld which is good in case you happen to bumb into your finished craft, of which I have done on several occasions. :-) This glue, which can be purchased in the jewelry or adhesives section of your local craft store, is great for Terracotta, Ceramics, Plastic, Metal (great for adhering jewelry parts together) and Glass.

Using Mrs. Osborn's picture as a guide, I painted on the eyes using a thin brush and black paint. It's easier to lightly draw the face with a pencil first and use that as a guide to follow with your thin brush. The nose was cut from a gray piece of fun foam and carefully glued on. I attached a 'Jewelry Connections' 12 MM jump ring to the nose. If you are lucky enough to find a miniature cow bell to place on the neck that would be great too! "
