Ornament Factory" and the year printed over an appropriate backgropund for the intended recipient. For example, my son loves airplanes, so I chose an airplane graphic (came with the software in the CD labeling kit) and printed my pretend business name and the year over it.
.) Apply label to CD, covering the printed side.
.) On front of ornament, use foam letters to spell out child's name, hot gluing after settling on a pleasing arrangement. (Longer names may force you to be creative with spacing! Using two lines is okay---gives the ornament character!)
.) If name is short, use precut angels, candy canes, etc. to fill in some of the empty space.
.) Drill a small hole in the top of the CD. Hint: Place CD on a piece of wood such as an old 2x4 for drilling. Put a nail or two in the board to prevent the CD from spinning about while you drill the hole.
.) String hanging ribbon through hole and tie.
