Instructions:
Glue 2 brown, 1 1/2 inch pom-poms side-by-side on the bottom of one of the egg carton cups. glue another one inch pom-pom on top of that. Add 2 brown, 1/2 inch pom-poms for ears and 4 brown, 1/2 inch pom-poms for legs. Cut out a small black circle for a nose and 2 small lengths of yarn to make closed eyes. Use figure 1 as an example.
Place the egg carton cups on top of each other with the groundhog laying in the bottom cup. Tape together one side as shown in figure 2. Paint the outsides of both egg carton cups green, or whatever color you desire. Set aside to dry. Once dry, use the marker to draw a few Z's on the top cup as shown in figure 3.
You can now look in the groundhog's hole and see him sleeping!
