"The gold fabric is to be used to tie around your head so cut it into a triangle large enough for for this purpose. Then take fabric glue and run a bead on the straight side of the fabric, make sure to glue the trim on the wrong side of the fabric so only the dangling coins show when worn. Glue the coin trim to the fabric. This allows a "no sewing" opportunity! The scarf will be tied around the forhead with coins dangling. Great effect!
I bought the skirt and blouse at good will. A great place to shop for cosutumes. If making this for a child it does not matter if there is a design at the bottom of the skirt or if it is to long, just cut it off because you are going to glue coin trim around the bottom of the skirt. Again, "no sewing" required. Glue the coin trim to the inside of the skirt so only the coins dangle when worn. I found a ruffled blouse, it was a little low cut but we put a T-shirt underneath. Tie the shaw to one side of your waist so the fringe hangs in front and back.
We got everything except the scarf and trim at one thrift/good will shop, including the belt, shoes and jewlry. I made a matching outfit for me too! We both always dress up for Halloween and I wore this to her school party. It is a fun way to look cute for older girls when they are out of the princess stage. My daughter was 8 and it was very cute."
