Knitted Gift Sack
Follow these directions and make a cute knitted gift bag - shared by Bill in Canada.

Materials:

  • 1 pair 5mm knitting needles
  • 1 ball red wool (100% Acrylic)
  • 1 ball white wool (100% Acrylic)
  • 1 canvas needle

Instructions:
Cast on 40 stitches.

Start off with red: Row 1 & odd number (to Row39) Knit across, Row 2 & even number (to row 40) Purl across.

Change colors to white, and continue: Odd number 41 to 49 Knit across, even number 42 to 50 Purl across (Cast off as you go on row 50).

Fold lengthwise (wrong-side out), and stitch across the white. Leaving the ends open for draw string.

Fold widthwise(wrongside out), stitch up bottom and side until where the red meets the white.

Reverse, and thread thru draw string. Then fill with little gifts.

For santa sack: Cast on 80 st. & repeat the pattern for 80 red rows and 20 white rows.

This pattern can be used for any occassion! Just use differnt colors.
