Pringles Can Mailbox
Sheril L. Brasher explains how to create a cool mailbox using a Pringles potato chip canister.

Materials Needed:

  • Potato chip canister (Pringles)
  • Contact paper
  • Colored paper
  • Markers, crayons, etc.
  • Stickers
  • Tape (double-stick tape works best)
Instructions:
Decorate a sheet of paper, cut to fit around the Pringles can, using the markers, crayons, stickers, and anything else you can find. Make sure that the child's name is on the paper and is visible. (You can also use a photo of child if said child is too young to recognize their name.)

Tape the decorated sheet of paper to a clean Pringles can. Cover with the contact paper.

We use this as our "mailbox" for our preschool classes. It works really well because all art work, notes home to mom, and notes from mom actually get where they need to go. The kids love them as well because it makes them feel important to have their own "mailbox". I will add that the "mailboxes" never leave the child's tote-bag so that nothing get missplaced and it is also accessible for the teachers and the parents.
