Try your hand at printmaking by making fun prints using cookie cutters.

Materials Needed:

  • Cookie Cutters
  • Paper Towels
  • Styrofoam Plate, Meat Tray, or Other Shallow Dish
  • Construction Paper
  • Paint

Instructions:
Fold a paper towel into fourths and lay it on the bottom of the styrofoam plate, etc. Pour paint into the center of the paper towel to make it into a stamp pad.

Dip the cookie cutter into the paint, dab it around on the paper towel to wipe off excess paint, and then press it onto the paper or other item.

You can make a variety of creative items using this technique! Make pictures, shirts, towels, wrapping paper, etc. Make fun holiday related items too!
