Instructions: Glue two popsicle sticks together to form a cross shape (see figure 1). With an adult's help, cut the other popsicle shape in half and glue them onto the bottom of your popsicle stick cross at an angle (see figure 2). This will form the base of your scarecrow body.
![]() Cut several pieces of the yarn about 1 inch long. Glue the yarn onto the ends of the popsicle sticks (figure 3). These will be the scarecrow's arms and legs.
![]() Now, use the scrap material or felt to cut out a shirt and pants for your scarecrow and glue them on (figures 4 and 5).
![]() Use more yarn to glue on hair for your scarecrow just above the midpoint of the popsicle stick on top (figure 6). Use a marker to make eyes, nose, and a mouth (figure 7).
![]() For the finishing touches, cut a small hat shape out of the fabric or felt and glue it in place (figure 8). You can also cut out a few tiny scares from different fabric to make patches for your scarecrow's pants. Voila!
![]() Once your scarecrow is complete, you can add a magnet strip to his back and hang him on the fridge, or you can glue an extra popsicle stick between his legs and stick him in a plant! You can also buy a small grapevine wreath and attach him to it. - See a larger photo of this craft completed by Your Family Crafts Guide.
