| Tin Can Pumpkin Candy Holder | |
Materials Needed:
Use the orange paint to make the entire outside of the can orange. Let it dry. Use the black paint to make a jack-o-lantern face on your can. Mmake sure the face is in the middle of the holes you punched.
Cut a piece of wire, about 15 inches long. Carefully push the ends of the wire through the holes, bend about 2-inches up and wrap around itself to secure. This is your handle and your tin can pumpkin treat holder is complete!
For a little variety, add an extra 16 - 20-inches to the wire, poke all the extra through the holes, wrap around itself once, and then twirl the extra wire around a pencil to form a 'vine'. You can also make tin can ghosts, Frankensteins, and more.
Instructions:
Wash the can and make sure there are no sharp edges along the top edge. Place the dry, clean can on it's side on the piece of scrap wood. Place the pointed end of the nail onto the top edge of the tin can, about 1/4 of an inch from the top, and use the hammer to punch a hole in the can. Do the same thing to make a hole on the other side of the can, directly across from the first hole.
