Punny Collage Valentine
Instructions for making a fun Valentine's Day card out of paper and magazines.

Materials Needed:
  • Construction Paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Crayons or Markers
Instructions:
This is an easy project that requires a lot of imagination! Fold a piece of paper in half to form a card shape. Page through magazines to find and picture to cut out and glue to the front of your card.

This is where your imagination comes into play. You want to find pictures that you can make puns out of. For example, cut out a picture of a bumble bee and on the inside of the cards, write "Bee Mine" or even "Bee My Honey". Here are a few ideas to get your imagination going:

  • Picture of Candy - "You're Sweet Valentine" or "Be My Sweety, Valentine"
  • Light Bulb or Candle - "You Light Up My Life Valentine"
  • Shoe - "You Can Walk All Over Me Valentine"
  • Mouth - "You Make Me Smile Valentine"
  • Hand - "You Have Me Wrapped Around Your Little Finger Valentine"
  • Eye - "I Only Have Eyes For You Valentine"
  • Peanut - "I Am Nuts Over You Valentine"
  • Puppy - "Dog-on it, Be My Valentine!"

Can you think of more? To dress up the outside of your card a little bit, you can decorate it with small heart or other designs before you glue your magazine pictures on. Instead of magazines, you can also use old coloring books.
