Velvet Pouch
Make a lovely velvet pouch that can be used for anything from a fancy handbag to a spell pouch for Harry Potter party or witches costume!

Materials Needed:

  • Velvet, Velour, or even felt!
  • Ribbon or Cording
  • Hole Puncher
Instructions:
Cut a circle out of your fabric (velvet is expensive, why not use velour or even felt!), tracing around a dinner plate seems to work well. Punch holes around the fabric circle, about 1 inch in from the edge. Thread a piece of cord, ribbon, etc up-and-down, through the holes. Do not cut the ribbon or cord until you have it threaded into the holes with about 4-6 inches to spare on each end while the fabric is laying flat. Now, Simply pull both ends of the cord or ribbon tight to gather the top of the bag together and tie.
