Magic Wand Pencil
Turn an ordinary pencil and a few chenille stems into a cool magic wand. Great fun for a Harry Potter party or theme!

Materials Needed:

  • Pencil
  • Silver Star Garland
  • Metallic Chenille Stems
  • Tacky Glue or Hot Glue Gun and Glue
Instructions:
Carefully remove the eraser from the end of the pencil. Cut 2 pieces of silver star garland to about 8-inches and also cut 2 pieces of metallic chenille stem to about 8 inches (they do not all have to be the same length). Hold all 4 pieces together and fold in half. Pinch the folded sections together and push the folds down into the end of a pencil where the eraser has been removed. It is secured by a generous amount of glue that was squeezed into the eraser holder first.

As a finishing touch, I wrapped a 4-inch piece of chenille stem around the silver of the original eraser holder. Decorate your new magic wand pencil however you like!
