Reindeer Candy Holder
Instructions to make candy jar that looks like a reindeer. A fun way to recycle baby food jars.

Materials Needed:

  • Small Jar (baby food)
  • Felt or Construction Paper
  • 2 Small Twigs
  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Pom-poms
  • Glue
Instructions:
Cut two ear shapes out of brown felt or construction paper (figure 1). Also cut out a piece of felt or construction paper that will wrap around the jar.

Gather the bottom, straight edge of the ear so it looks more like a diamond shape. Attach the ears and the twigs, which will be the antlers, to the jar using masking tape (figures 2 and 3).

Being generous with the glue, attach the piece of felt you cut earlier to the jar to cover the tape and the ends of the ears and antlers (figure 4). It will be a bit bumpy, but this is okay! Add a large brown pom-pom to the deer to glue a pom-pom nose and a mouth on (figure 5). Also add wiggle eyes!

Fill with candy or nuts and enjoy!
