Imagine the fun in making your own paper dolls. Now imagine making paper dolls that look like you, your friends, and your family! This book provides you with the tools to do just that. It is such a simple, yet very creative idea.
With this book, some photos, and a few other supplies you have laying around your house, you can use the cutouts in this book to make a unique toy. You color and cut out the paper doll provided, and then glue a small photo of your face into place. A wallet sized photograph would work great. They even provide six other dolls so you can make your friends and family; and don't forget the family pet. They provide you with a dog, cat, and even a bunny.
You design and color the clothes and accessories. There are more than 30 original outfits included along with special accessories to go with each one. You can create outfits for every occasion - they provide everything from sports uniforms to evening gowns and everything in between.
There are hours of fun packed into this paperback, coloring sized book. The outfit pages are printed on heavy paper and the doll bodies are printed on poster board weight paper. For extra durability, it even suggests you laminate your completed dolls and wardrobes.
This book is unique, creative, and fun. It encourages you to use your imagination. The dolls and outfits are drawn with only the basics. There are ideas included to help you use your imagination and creativity to add details and designs to the clothing. This book also shares a few ideas about ways you can create your own paper dollhouse and original accessories.
This is a fun book I recommend for older kids. I think children who are able to cut and color with confidence would really enjoy this project. Someone could easily spend hours creating these fun toys. They would also make a great keepsake to share with later generations.
