The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
Instructions:
Start out by searching for a rock that is long and skinny. Clean the rock and dry it completely.
Paint the rock green. It may take a few coats of paint. Let the paint dry.
Glue two small, green pom-poms onto top of the alligator's head. Glue two wiggle eyes onto the pom-poms.
Cut a thin strip from the felt, about 1/2" x 4". The length of this strip will vary depending on the size of your rock! Cut a jagged edge along one of the long edges of the felt. Pinking shears would work great here. Once you have all of the jagged teeth cut, trim the length and width of the teeth if necessary, and then glue them in place.
Finally, use a little paint to draw two half-circle nostrils on the alligator. Once the paint is dry stick your alligator head into a plant or other location so it looks like just the top of the alligator head peeking out.
