Materials Needed:
- Green Hooded Sweatshirt
- Brown Sweatpants
- Silk Leaves (Fall colors work well)
- Raffia or Hay
- Craft Wire or Twist Ties
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue
- Fake Bird and/or Eggs (optional)
Instructions:
Use the hot glue to attach the leaves to the sweatshirt. Scatter them all over the place, and also on the hood. (If your sweatshirt does not have a hood you can always use a cheap stocking cap.). Holly used a long sweatshirt that hung down to her child's knees.
If desired, you can add some detail to the brown sweatpants that will be the tree trunk. Draw on lines to look like bark and even draw on a "hole".
Shape the raffia or hay into a bird nest shape using the wire. Glue the nest either on top of the head or perhaps on a shoulder. Glue the bird and/or eggs into the nest.
