Favorite Pet Projects
In many households you can find cats, dogs, goldfish, and parakeets but people also keep pigs, snakes, horses, rats, and many other critters as pets. The word pet means different things to different people, however, for this listing I am only including those pets who do not fit into any of the other categories here. You can make a craft related to your own pet, or , if you are not lucky enough to have a pet, you can craft your own pets who will sit quietly and obediently on your dresser.
Farm Critter Crafts
A day visiting or living on a farm can be both exciting and exhausting. The list of animals you can find on a farm can be very long but more traditional farm animals include cows, horses, pigs, lambs, and chickens. If you can't get to a farm or you want to extend a visit to a farm, why not make a collection of farm animals.
Wild Animal Crafts
If you dream of visiting African jungles or exotic rain forests, why not make your own. You can use a variety of supplies and techniques to make lions, tigers, bears, giraffes, monkeys, and many other animals that usually can be found in the wild or even a zoo.
Amphibians and Reptiles
Many people do not like snakes, frogs, lizards, and other creatures that are considered scaly or slimy; but some people love them. If you can't get enough of these animals, why not make some related crafts? You can fill your room with a variety of pretend amphibians and reptiles or just pick a favorite or two.
Flying Friend Projects
Annoying bugs aside, flying creatures peak most people's interest. Many will spend hours watching birds and a bunch of money feeding them and building bird houses. Some are also fastinated by bats, although I will admit they give me a case of the 'willies'. If you love birds and bats you can make an assortment of related crafts.
Creative Water Loving Creatures
Water dwelling creatures seem to be a popular item for collectors, and I wonder if it is because they are so intriguing. Dolphins are usually a favorite of kids and adults alike, and fanciful fish are also well-liked; but, these are just a few options when it comes to our water-loving friends. You can celebrate them by making a variety of craft projects.
