Lunch Bag Apple Craft
How to Make a Apple Using a Paper Lunch Bag

By Sherri Osborn, About.com

You and your kids will have a ton of fun making enough stuffed apples to fill an entire apple orchard if you so choose.

  • Age Guideline: 3 Years and Up
  • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Materials Needed:

Instructions:
Paint the paper bag red. Leave the top 1- to 2-inches of the bag brown. While you are waiting for the paint to dry, cut a couple of leaf shapes out of green felt, craft foam, or construction paper.

Open up your red paper bag and set it on your work surface. Ball up pages of newspaper and stuff them into the bag until it is about 2/3 full. Twist the top of the bag, the part that is still brown, and then seal the bag closed using the rubber band. The red part of your bag will now be your round apple and the brown paper will be the stem.

Glue the leaves you cut out near the stem on top of the apple. Let the glue dry completely.

Your paper bag apple is now done!
