Most of the favors in this book can be made by items you have laying around your house or simple items purchased from a local craft or variety store. Each project is explained well and has great photos to help guide you through it. There are also plenty of patterns to make your own boxes, cones, and other treat pouches. There is also a section with great ideas and tips for personalizing tags and labels and also making potpourri.
It is very hard to pick a favorite project out if this book. I think the different soap ideas are unique and fun and the candle projects and simple yet sophisticated. The daisy magnets/pins are fun, made with silk flowers and the flattened marbles that are so popular these days, and the wire place card/photo holders made using polymer clay are very whimsical. I think if I did have to pick one project though, I would choose the Party-in-a-Box favor, a home-made box made out of heavy paper and clear acetate. They are simple, fun, and very versatile!
