- Age Guideline: 6 Years and Up
- Time Required: 20 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
Materials Needed:
- Bottle Caps
- Glitter Glue or Dimensional Paint with Glitter
- Alphabet and/or Other Beads
- Craft Glue
- Magnet
- Scissors
Instructions:
Start off by figuring out what message you want to write in your bottle cap, or what other beads you want to use. Lay out the beads in the empty bottle cap to see how well they will fit and how you want to arrange them. Set your beads aside.
Glue a magnet to the top (outside) of the bottle cap. Flip the bottle cap over so it is sitting on the magnet. Fill the inside of the bottle cap about half full of glitter glue. Smooth it out with your fingertip or a craft stick if you need to.
Set the beads you chose on top of the glitter glue. When they are arrange how you like them, gently press them down into the glue. Make sure the glue does not come up around the beads.
Let the glue dry and then your magnet is read to be hung up.
You can make your own glitter glue by simply mixing glitter in with your regular white glue.
